Trip Highlight
The Land of the Kings is notoriously famous for the ballads of courage written about the warriors whom this land is still known for. Many people tend to associate this beautiful state with scorching heat and parched deserts but the state has so much to offer.
Earning its rightful nickname for constituting architectural beauties made out of sandstone, with its vibrant culture, historical legends, and fascinating folklore, Jaisalmer is easily one of the must-visit places in Rajasthan.
To help you revel in the experience that comes with visiting this beautiful place, we make sure that you get to do most of the activities that anyone visiting Jaisalmer should do on our weekend trip to Jaisalmer.
You’d be pleasantly surprised to know that there are a lot of things to do in Jaisalmer and some of these are the perfect blend of history and culture.
On this 3-day weekend trip to Jaisalmer, we provide you the best custom-tailored experience where you get to camp in the desert under the stars, ride the ship of the desert, and get a closer look at authentic Rajasthani culture in the form of folk music and folk dance via a display of talent that you won’t find elsewhere.
If you have ever wondered what it’s like to go on a jeep safari in the sand dunes, we are offering you the golden opportunity to make those fantasies come to life. In our Jaisalmer trip, we take you on a desert safari followed by desert camping where you get to see the cultural show with the blaze of a bonfire keeping you warm, under the cool starry sky.
Jaisalmer is home to mainly historically significant sites like the Longewala Post which was where the 1971 battle happened. Along with that, the Jaisalmer war memorial pays tribute to the martyrs of the Longewala battle. The unique museum also has a wall in honor of those who have earned the Paramvir Chakra and Mahavir Chakra for their valor. It’s one of the most important places in Jaisalmer and we make sure that you don’t miss it.
We also visit the Jaisalmer fort which is believed to be one of the few living forts in India, is more than 800 years old and is home to many locals.
Although the only water bodies associated with desert cities are oases, you’d be surprised by the serene lakes that you can find in Rajasthan. The Gadi Sagar lake in Jaisalmer is one of the most popular tourist destinations due to its significant role in the history of the state as back in the day, it was the only source of water for the people living there.
A trip that transports you back in time while simultaneously making you appreciate the present is all that this trip is all about. Although you can plan a weekend trip to Jaisalmer throughout the year, we believe that the best time to visit Jaisalmer is from November to January because winters add a wave of pleasant cold to the temperature of Rajasthan.
Jaisalmer Weekend Trip should be on your list if you are looking for places to travel with rich cultural and historical vibes, hearty and cheerful people, and an unforgettable trip experience.
3 days of unlimited fun with people from all over while traversing the roads of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan is what makes this road trip irresistible and hard to ignore. Jaisalmer’s weather which makes you experience hot and cold all at the same time, as to days being hot and nights being cooler, also adds up to a unique experience.
