day 2: kohima sightseeing
after breakfast, embark on a full-day tour of kohima:

nagaland state museum – explore ancestral weaponry, traditional attire, jewelry, and artifacts.

option 2: khonoma village (20 km | ~1 hr)
explore khonoma, india’s first green village. visit morungs (tribal dormitories), ceremonial gates, and meet traditional craftsmen. learn about the village's eco-conservation practices and its warrior history.
return to kohima in the evening.

day 5: moirang, loktak lake & nearby attractions
after breakfast, begin your day with a mix of nature and history:
imphal zoological garden and khonghampat orchidarium
drive to moirang (45 km | ~1 hr) – ancient capital of the meitei kings.
visit sadu chiru waterfall and the japanese war memorial.
explore keibul lamjao national park – the only floating national park in the world and last habitat of the rare sangai deer.
discover the loktak lake, northeast india’s largest freshwater lake, and sendra island, offering panoramic views of the floating islands (phumdis).
return to imphal.
