HAMTA PASS AND CHANDRATAAL TREK
Hamta Pass lies at an altitude of 4270 m (14039 ft) on the Pir Panjal range in the Himalayas. It is a small corridor between Lahaul's Chandra Valley and Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. The nomenclature of the trek was derived from Hamta Village, located below Sethan village, as part of the trek route. This pass is frequently used by shepherds of the lower Himalayan region, seeking high altitude grasslands in the summer, when the dry cold desert of Lahaul is barren.^.^^Route:- Manali - Drive to Hamta dam and trek to Chikka - Chikka to Balu ka Ghera - Balu ka Ghera to Shia Ghoru - Shia Ghoru to Chandrataal to Chatru - Jeep Ride from Chatru to Manali bus stand
^• Accommodation: On triple sharing basis. Stay is separate for Male and Female. For 2 sharing tents, participants need to pay INR 2500 per participant. ^• Cloak room: Space to keep extraluggage. ^• Meals: Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner is included. We provide simple, nutritious Veg/Jain foodon all days of the trek. For Non-veg, participants need to pay INR 800/- extra. ^• Rucksack: A 60 litre bag with rain cover is provided for using in trekking. You can deposit your extra luggage with your bags at our camp site. ^• Camping charges: All trekking permits and forest camping charges are included. ^• Gaiters: To prevent snow from enteringinside your shoe. ^• Microspikes: To provide you grip on hardsnow. ^• Trekking equipment: High quality tents and sleeping bags inall the camps. Sleeping bags can withstand temperatures as low as -10 ºC. ^• Safety equipment and Emergency: First aid kit, oxygen cylinders, oximeter etc.will be with guide/trek leader and at camp site as well to deal withemergencies. ^• Expert trek Leaders: All our trek leaders are at least qualified in basic / advanced mountaineering and first aid course. ^• Expert Trek support team : The mountain staff on this trek consists of certified guides, cooks, helpers andporters. ^• GST5%.
^• Cost of Emergency ^• Any personal expense. ^• Website payment charges applicable via Paypal i.e; 3 % of the bookingfee. Members can however skip that via NEFT/IMPS/GooglePay.
