day 1: arrival in gangtok

our representative will receive you at new jalpaiguri railway station (njp), bagdogra airport (ixb), or tenzing norgay bus stand. from there, enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 135 km (4.5 – 5 hours) to gangtok, the capital of sikkim.

located at an altitude of 1,670 meters (5,480 feet), gangtok is a vibrant town famous for its monasteries, mystical rituals, festivals, and natural beauty including varieties of rhododendrons, orchids, and butterflies.

day 2: gangtok local sightseeing (full day)

after breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of gangtok, covering:

directorate of handicrafts & handloom

research institute of tibetology

do drul chorten (stupa)

enchey monastery

white hall

flower exhibition center

ganesh tok & hanuman tok

tashi view point

banjhakri waterfalls — one of the finest near gangtok

evening free to explore mg road or relax in a nearby café. gangtok also has a few vibrant discotheques for those interested.

day 3: excursion to tsomgo lake & baba mandir

after breakfast, head out for a full-day excursion to:

tsomgo lake (changu lake) – a glacial lake at 12,310 feet, usually snow-covered and home to migratory birds like the brahmini ducks

baba harbhajan singh mandir – a highly revered shrine near the lake

(optional: visit to nathula pass, located 20 km further and connecting india with china — subject to permit availability and weather conditions.)

return to gangtok by evening.

day 4: transfer to darjeeling

after breakfast, check out and drive to darjeeling (approx. 135 km / 3 – 3.5 hours).

located at an altitude of 2,123 meters (7,000 feet), darjeeling is renowned for its stunning himalayan views, tea gardens, and colonial charm. it's also home to the unesco world heritage darjeeling himalayan railway (dhr).

day 5: darjeeling local sightseeing (full day)

start your day early at 3:45 am with a drive to tiger hill (2,590 meters) to witness the sunrise over kanchenjunga peak (weather permitting).

return to hotel for breakfast and a short rest. then continue with city sightseeing:

day 6: full-day excursion to mirik

after breakfast, proceed to mirik (approx. 60 km / 1.5 – 2 hours). enjoy the drive through scenic mountain roads with occasional stops for photography.

mirik is known for:

sumendu lake – boating and horse riding available

landscaped gardens, tea estates, orange orchards & cardamom plantations

spectacular views of the himalayan range

optionally visit pashupati market on the nepal border

return to darjeeling by evening.

after breakfast, check out and proceed to njp railway station / bagdogra airport / tenzing norgay bus stand (approx. 105 km / 3.5 – 4 hours).
