Chitkul is the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border, located in the Kinnaur Valley at an altitude of 3,450 meters. It offers stunning views of the snow-clad Himalayan ranges and the Baspa River.
Kalpa Village: Kalpa, situated at an altitude of around 2,960 meters, is known for its apple orchards and the majestic views of the Kinnaur-Kailash mountain range, particularly the sacred Shivling peak.
Scenic Beauty: Both Chitkul and Kalpa are renowned for their scenic landscapes, pristine air, and peaceful atmosphere, making them perfect for nature lovers and trekkers.
Baspa River Valley: Chitkul lies in the Baspa River Valley, offering green meadows, wooden houses, and a tranquil environment for those who want to explore untouched nature.
Kinnaur-Kailash Range: From Kalpa, visitors can admire the towering Kinnaur-Kailash range, which changes color throughout the day. The Shivling peak is especially sacred to the locals.
