Vietnam is a long, S-shaped country along the eastern edge of the Indochinese Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It shares borders with China to the north, Laos and Cambodia to the west, and the South China Sea to the east.
Spanning nearly 1,650 km north to south, Vietnam is surprisingly narrow at certain points, only 50 km across in some central regions. Its geography is a mix of fertile deltas, lush highlands, mountain ranges, and over 3,000 km of coastline dotted with islands. This makes Vietnam one of the most diverse travel destinations in Asia.
When comparing Vietnam and India, the cost of travel depends largely on your travel style.

Delhi offers multiple direct flights to Vietnam’s major cities. Travelers can choose packages that cover airfare, transfers, guided tours, accommodation, and sometimes even meals. The cost is similar to Mumbai departures.
Many tour operators now offer all-inclusive packages where flights are bundled with stays, transfers, and sightseeing. This saves travelers the hassle of booking tickets separately. Round-trip fares usually range between ₹20,000–₹50,000 depending on departure city and season, while visa costs are about ₹2,800–₹3,000.
If you want to extend your journey, Vietnam and Cambodia combo packages are an excellent choice.
